Specializing in patients with special needs, our dental experts are not only skilled in providing dental treatment, but they have undergone years of additional training to handle the physical, emotional, and behavioral aspects associated with caring for special needs adults and children. These experts train Penn Dental residents practicing in our facility, and oversee their care of our special needs patients.

THE TEAM AT PENN DENTAL

We partnered with the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine (PDM). The dental professionals at PDM understand the importance of an initial thorough and accurate assessment of a patient’s current dental and medical history so each patient gets priority treatments promptly.

FACILITY WITH SPECIAL ACCOMMODATIONS

We also understand the need for special accommodations to make our patients feel comfortable and safe. Our facility is designed with the specific requirements of special needs patients in mind, featuring enhanced accessibility, optimal lighting, sound, and stimulus control, and a range of specialized dental equipment to provide a comfortable and anxiety-free environment for patients.

FLEXIBLE APPOINTMENT SCHEDULING

One of the key benefits of our dental clinic is the emphasis on patient centered care. This includes flexible appointment scheduling, which allows for longer appointment times and scheduling at times of the day when the patient is most comfortable. To make it easy for you, please complete this simple form and a skilled member of our team will contact you to schedule your appointment.

Insurance

Penn Dental Medicine accepts direct payments from most dental insurance plans. Payment is due in full at the time of service and is accepted in the form of personal checks, money orders, credit/debit cards, or CareCredit. Private insurance and Medicaid are accepted.

“The dentist couldn’t have been more caring and calm with my autistic son. My son even told me he can’t wait to go back!”
